St James Quay, Norwich

We were delighted and proud to provide the formwork, reinforcement and concrete works for Hill Group UK St James Quay, Norwich.

The development on the former Jarrolds printworks site on Barrack Street comprises of 220 apartments and houses, commercial units and a museum, whilst also maintaining the historic city wall as a central feature.

During phase one of the development our 28 week programme saw us build 2 six story concrete frames​, construct 10,000m2 of concrete floor, 490 columns and associated shear walls, 3 lift shafts, 3 stairwells complete with pre-cast stairs and 72 insulated balconies; all whilst adhering to government guidelines and social distancing due to the Covid19 pandemic.

With 592t of reinforcement installed and 3580 m3 of concrete poured, and no lost time accidents, our work was completed in January 2021.
